4 Ways To Get Involved In National Suicide Prevention Month in Kalamazoo
Walk, learn, listen and watch: September is National Suicide Prevention Month- here are 4 things you can do locally to reach out and help reduce the risk.

- Time: 8:00 a.m. registration/ 9 a.m. walk
- Cost: $30 per person
This 5K-cause walk will raise awareness for suicide prevention, allow people to connect with each other, and provide critical funds for Gryphon Place to support the essential programs they offer

- Location: Cityscape, downtown Kalamazoo
- Time: 6:00 p.m.
- Cost: Free
Cost is free but tickets may be required.
ASSIST training will teach how to recognize people at risk of suicide and instruct how to talk, listen, understand and intervene in a life-affirming way.
Mental Health First Aid offers training on how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem.
(There may be fees for these classes.)
