There is someone willing to take a HUGE life risk, and he did right here in Kalamazoo.

I have taken a hot air balloon ride, lived on a roof, ridden in a truck that had a jet engine in it, was frozen alive in 10 tons of ice, but this stunt is beyond me!

I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon watching out Growlers take on the Mallards; and then the madness started. While finishing the last of a cold brew and waiting for the crowds start to thin out, I was treated to a show from David Smith...

David Smith Jr. is the highest flying Human Cannonball in the world today! He holds 5 Guinness World Records with the highest cannon shot and the farthest cannon shot, breaking his own World Record three times! David has been a human cannonball for 22 years. He has performed over 8,000 cannon shots in fifteen countries.

WHAT?!?! Yes, it is true and yes, he did shoot himself out of cannon, and yes, I was in memorized by the whole event. David landed safely into a net and it was thrilling!

I knew that Homer Stryker field  has incredible fireworks on the weekend eves, but I had no idea about the thrilling shows they put on after a game! Here is what you can look forward to this summer

  • SUNSHINE FIRE ENTERTAINMENT  (JUNE 30)
  • TYLER’S AMAZING BALANCING ACT (JULY 1 & AUGUST 12)
  • REGGY THE PURPLE PARTY DUDE (JULY 14)
  • INFLATAMANIACS (JULY 15)
  • ORNY ADAMS COMEDY SHOW (JULY 23 at 9 pm)
  • NWL ALL-STAR GAME AND HOME RUN DERBY (JULY 24)
  • SUPERHERO AND PRINCESS NIGHT (JULY 27)

See you at the ballpark!

I checked out trip advisory and these are just a couple of the incredible revues that our Growlers and Ball Park has received...

George M. from Hampshire, Illinois reported on tripadvisor.com

This ballpark was great for families, and very affordable. No bad seats at all in this park. Parking was easy, and getting in and out was as well. The concessions were affordable. Overall, its a great little park to take the family, and have a nice night out

Brian C. also weighed in on his experience on tripadvisor.com

Lots of things to do for all ages. Kids zone is great for little ones, party zone is great for drinks with friends and the entertainment is awesome.

I totally agree with George and Brian! Plus I got to watch someone risk his life all while enjoying a brew and burger...not a bad Sunday afternoon!
