Broncos Predicted 2nd in MAC West by Media
The Broncos completed the 2016 season with a 13-1 overall record, including a 12-0 regular season and winning the MAC Championship over the Ohio Bobcats, their first conference title since 1988 and second in school history. Their lone loss came in the AT & T Cotton Bowl to the Wisconsin Badgers.
Wednesday is the lone day for the MAC to hold their Media Day, being held at the National Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The announcement came this morning as the Broncos were predicted by the media to finish second in the MAC West, behind last year’s runner-up Toledo. The Rockets were also predicted to win in MAC Championship defeating Ohio, projected to win the MAC East by two votes over the Miami Redhawks.
The Brown and Gold begin their 2017 season on the road for the first two contests, travelling to Los Angeles to take on the Southern California Trojans September 2nd. It will also be the debut of new head coach and former Bronco quarterback Tim Lester.
The Broncos also battle the Michigan State Spartans September 9th in East Lansing before hosting the Idaho Vandals at Waldo Stadium September 16th. Kick-off is at 7pm on Communiversity Night and tickets are available.
