Crowds gathered on March 31- the opening date for Kalamazoo's newest restaurant. Kelvin & Co. at 232 E. Michigan Ave in the remodeled Main St. Cafe. Specializing in what they call "urban bbq" with casual meats and small batch sauces, Eric and I decided we had to go try it for ourselves.

First off, the smell stopped us cold when we first walked in; it was incredible. I ordered the pulled pork and thought it was very tasty until I tried a sample of Eric's chicken- I'm definitely getting that next time. While he enjoyed the poultry, Eric is looking forward to the brisket, probably in a salad, on his next visit. My side of jalapeno mac & cheese was just OK, I'll probably try the collard greens next time. Overall, the experience was a good one with friendly staff and fast service- we will be back to Kelvin & Co.
