Joan Jett Loves Rock & Roll, Tigers Baseball
Joan Jett was spotted at Comerica Park taking in a Tigers game on a day off during her Summer tour with Styx.
Life on the road as a musician can be grueling and days off are rare. When she gets one, Joan Jett likes to relax and take in a baseball game. She and Blackhawks' guitarist Dougie Needles were spotted at Comerica Park watching the Detroit Tigers play the Texas Rangers on July 5. The 2018 Summer tour teams up Joan Jett & the Blackhearts with Styx and Tesla, and had just played Toronto on July 4 and had an idle day before the July 6 show at DTE Energy Music Theater.
Jett is a baseball fan and told Fox Sports it is the strategy and team play of baseball that she loves. A Baltimore Orioles fan, Camden Yards is her favorite park but she has had the chance to visit others while travelling across the country playing rock & roll, including Wrigley Field in Chicago and St. Louis' Busch Stadium
Watch Joan Jett talk about her love of baseball and don't miss her genuine smile when the reporter asks her about being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, Tommy Shaw and James Young were nowhere to be found; the guys from Styx must have been seeing the Star Wars exhibit at Detroit Institute of Arts.
