University of Michigan junior quarterback Shea Patterson (pictured) told Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News on Friday afternoon that he will bypass the NFL Draft and return to Michigan for his senior season.

Patterson transferred from Mississippi to Michigan after the 2017 season, and he led the Wolverines to a 10-2 record and a berth in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta on December 29th.

Shea's decision comes in contrast of decisions made by Michigan teammates.recently.  defensive players Rashan Gary and Devin Bush have both declared for the Draft, and senior running back Karan Higdon announced on Thursday that he will bypass the Peach Bowl to concentrate on preparing for the NFL Draft.

Patterson threw for 2,364 yards, 21 touchdowns and only five interceptions this season.  He also ran for 268 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
