Climb, swing, splash, scamper and sweat: the 2017 Kalamazoo Mud Run is June 10- here are 10 reasons you won't want to miss it!
Be sure not to wear your best shoes for this one. (In fact, you may need to use duct tape to be sure you have both shoes at the end.)
You will have to go over, under or through more than 20 obstacles on the course- not to mention the mud holes and shoe-sucking pits.
The course runs through 44 wooded acres surrounding Kalamazoo Community Church and Comstock High School.
Money from your entry fee goes to build wells in Africa to provide fresh, potable water to villages that have none. Get dirty for clean water!
You may need their help to conquer an obstacle on the course. The staff and volunteers at Kalamazoo Community Church and everyone else involved in the Kalamazoo Mud Run are awesome!
Seriously, there is a lot of it.
Using the same course every year has its advantages. Massive obstacles return for you to challenge again and new ones have been designed and added for 2017.
Since 2012, more than 7,000 people, eager to have fun, have gotten muddy while participating in the Kalamazoo Mud Run.
This family-friendly event offers a completely separate race and course for the kids, right-sized to ensure their safety.
You will feel like a kid again.
