Portage Summer Concerts Feature Motown, Boy Bands and Big Hair
Bring your blanket and a picnic basket. The annual summer concert series at the Overlander bandshell has something everyone will love.
Each year, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo puts together a great lineup of free outdoor summer concerts for the City of Portage. This year, it's the sound of young America, 90s boy bands, 80s hair bands and local rhythm & blues.
The Boy Band Night: Boy Band Tribute | June 18
- N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men and more
The Hair Band Night: 80s Hair Metal | June 25
- Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and more
Motown Nation: Motown and 60s Smash Hits | July 30
- The music of The Supremes, The Temptations, The Blues Brothers, Four Seasons and more
Al Hight & M6 | August 6
- A local artist to close out the series with rhythm & blues
All shows are held at the Overlander Bandshell in Central Park at 7800 Shaver Road. Start time 7 pm, admission is free.
