Still the One: Orleans to Play Saugatuck this Spring
They've been together since way back when and invite you to "Dance with Me" as '70s hit-makers Orleans bring their live show to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.
First, the hits: Orleans was all over the radio in the mid to late 1970s and you still hear "Still the One," "Dance with Me," and "Love Takes Time" all these years later. The group has a fascinating 40+ year history that includes tours with Santana, Chicago, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, and REO Speedwagon.
Next, a couple of things you may not know: Early versions of the band were called Kangaroo and Thunderfrog and one member was elected to Congress. Singer/songrwriter/guitarist John Hall was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives from the state of New York on November 7, 2006, and was reelected in 2008. John Hall retired from touring at the end of 2019 and a couple of original members have passed away, but the current lineup of Orleans delivers on an evening of classic hits.
