On March 29th, 1987, 93,173 people jammed their way into the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan to see if the WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan could defeat the then undefeated Andre The Giant.
The 2018 World Cup begins on June 14th and with the first game to be played next week, a look back to 1994 when the eyes of the world were on The Silverdome.
This Sunday, the Pontiac Silverdome will finally come down. The partial implosion scheduled for Sunday at 8:30 A.M. will be the official end of this former home of the Detroit Lions.
