The Deadliest Snowstorm In History Hit Michigan 100 Years Ago
Winter weather advisories and watches from 100 years ago were nothing like they are today and many in Michigan paid the ultimate price. In 1913 A storm brewed over the Great Lakes like no one had ever seen. A brisk wind from an Alberta Clipper with a mix of snow turned deadly. By the time it ended, shipwrecks happened on 4 of the 5 Great Lakes, 273 lives were lost on the lakes. This video gives more detail of what happened and why we should be thankful for the weather observation equipment we have today.
